UPSC NDA Application Form 2022
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started accepting applications from female candidates for National Defense Academy (NDA). NDA is a national level entrance exam conducted twice a year in different cities across India. Through NDA the candidates are selected for admission to the Defense Services i.e. Army, Air Force and Navy.
The online application form will be released soon on the official website of UPSC. Candidates can submit their application form till the last date. The online process has been reopened following the Supreme Court’s interim directions to allow female candidates for the exam, which was earlier conducted only for male candidates.

This is the first batch of women candidates applied for NDA entrance exam. However, the physical number of vacancies available for girls will be notified later by the Ministry of Defence. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on November 2022 in 75 exam centers across the country to fill a total of 400 vacancies.

NDA 2022 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the exam the candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.
Age Range: For NDA 1 exam, both male and female candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd July 2002 and not later than 1st July 2005. For NDA 2 exam, both male and female candidates must have been born not earlier than January 2. , 2003, and not later than January 1, 2006.
Educational Qualifications: The educational qualification is different for different academies. Candidates can check the prescribed educational qualification for various academies below.
- For Army Branch of Defense Academy, Candidates should have passed class-12 or equivalent from recognized board or university.
- For Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy of National Defense Academy, candidates must have passed class-12 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University.

- NDA 2022 Application Form made available through online mode,
- Candidates can easily apply by visiting the official website upsconline.nic.in.
- Candidates are able to apply for NDA twice a year,
- Application form for NDA II was made available from 9th June 29th June 2021,
- The application form has been issued from 24 September 2021 to 8 October 2021 For female candidates.
- Before filling NDA 2022 application form candidates must ensure their eligibility.
- Only one application form will be accepted, so candidates should avoid filling multiple forms.
- While filling the application form, candidates must not forget to upload the passport size photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
- Once the application form is filled, candidates must not forget to take the hard copy of the filled application form for further use.
Documents required for the application process
The following documents are required to complete the application process:
- Educational Certificate.
- Valid ID proof issued by Government of India.
- Scanned images of candidate’s signature and photograph.
Application fee
Candidates can submit the application fee through online mode like debit card, credit card or net banking. Fee can be deposited in offline mode through e-challan method of SBI Bank.
100/- will be charged for filling the NDA application form. However, candidates belonging to SC/ ST category and women candidates are exempted from the application fee.
How to fill UPSC NDA 2022 Application Form
- Firstly all the candidates have to visit the official website https://www.upsc.gov.in/.
- On the home page find the link “National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2022 (Scheduled) – For Female Candidates Only”.
- Click on it.
- Now Click on Part 1 Registration Link and Fill Basic Information, Select the Post.
- Then upload your documents, pay the fee.
- Submit NDA 2022 Application Form.
- Take a print out for further use.
