Missing Florida tot found dead in retention pond after wandering away from home


A missing 3-year-old Florida boy has been found dead in a retention pond, hours after he was reported missing. officials said on Monday.

Axel Caballero, an autistic child, was reported missing by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday. The boy was last seen wandering his Winter Springs home wearing a diaper.

His body was found in a nearby pond several hours later by members of a diving team, officials said.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family,” the department said.

According to social media posts, local residents searched for the boy before the tragic discovery was made.
