Rank list will be considered for admission. TNEA 2022 Result will be issued on on the basis of merit list, The rank list will be released only for those candidates who successfully fill the application form.

The rank list will be prepared after the same process based on the marks of 12th class candidates. TNEA Rank List 2022 will be published on the website.

TNEA 2022 Counseling will be started from 22 August 2022, Students will be able to participate in the TNEA 2022 counseling process according to their rank.

The TNEA rank for different category of candidates is prepared on the basis of various factors such as caste categories, reservation criteria, marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and optional subjects (Biology and Computer Science).

How to Check TNEA Rank Card

Candidates can check their rank in the rank card by following the procedure given below:

  • Visit the official website link (Link will be given above).
  • Click on that link and result page will open on new tab.
  • Enter the email id and password generated at the time of registration.
  • Click on the ‘Login’ button.
  • Rank card/rank list will be generated on your computer screen.
  • Check your rank in the generated list and download it.
  • Take a printout of the rank list and keep it safe till the admission process.

TNEA Merit List

A separate merit list is prepared for granting admission on the basis of Candidate’s 12th class scar. Higher rank is given to those candidates who have secured higher marks in their 12th class.

Admission will be provided strictly on the basis of merit list prepared by the university. Separate counseling process will be conducted for seven categories like OC, BC, BCM (BC Muslim), MBC and DNC, SC, SCA and ST reservation.

Random number is the number which is allotted to each candidate by the university. Basically, it is a number that is allotted to the candidates to attend the counselling. Random numbers are provided to the candidates before the ranking of the candidates to prepare the merit list.

The random number is allotted after the verification of the application form. After giving the random number, the merit list will be prepared by the university.
