Jan. 6 committee releases final report on Capitol riot



The House Select Committee probing the Capitol riots of January 6 last year released its long-awaited final report on Thursday night.

report goodThe nearly 18-month finding is based on more than 1,000 interviews conducted by the panel as well as information gleaned from emails, text messages and phone records obtained by investigators during their investigation.

Among the findings in the 845-page report, the panel estimates that former President Donald Trump and his aides were involved in nearly 200 acts targeting state legislators or state and local election officials. Attempt to overturn the 2020 election results

“The Select Committee estimates that in the two months between the November election and the January 6 insurrection, President Trump or his inner circle engaged in at least 200 overt acts of public or private outreach, pressure, or denunciation, which target either state legislators or state or local election administrators overturn state election results,” notes the report.

One of the three forwards in the final report was penned by outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who lambasted committee chair Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-Vio.) for their ” Thanked. Roadmap to Justice.

The report is divided into eight chapters, with some titles including, “The Big Lie,” “I Just Want to Find the 11,780 Votes,” “Hang in There, It’s Gonna Get Wild!” and “coup in search of legal theory.”
