A Florida plastic surgeon has been charged with alleged sexual assault of two women who were undergoing procedures at his office, according to police.
According to news reports, Eric Andrew Salata, a Naples doctor, is facing two counts of sexual battery to a physically helpless person. According to a police report obtained, the 54-year-old victimized two women – 51 and 73 – after allegedly sedating them in between cosmetic procedures. by Naples Daily News.
According to a police report, the 51-year-old woman told police that during her procedure last month, Salata administered laughing gas to relieve pain.
The report states that despite not being in his right mind, he said that Salata questioned what he was doing and he stopped, before he realized that Salata had touched his private parts.
The report states that he then used more laughing gas and offered her an unknown clear liquid, possibly tequila, to drink. By that time, she said she was intoxicated and fainted.
Reportedly, when she woke up, she said she saw Salata performing oral sex and fainted before she could stop him. When she woke up again, he was allegedly ramming into her, the newspaper reported, before she again fell unconscious.
The 73-year-old woman came forward on Monday and told police that Salata raped her during his procedure, the Naples Daily News reported.
The victim reportedly told officers that the doctor massaged a spot on her body and offered her laughing gas to relieve any pain. As the massage continued and more laughing gas was pumped in, the victim said Salata raped her, according to the report.
She said she was awake and alert during the attack, and that Salata was on top of her for approximately 15 seconds, according to the report.
Salata along with his wife owns Pura Vida Medical Spa, According to WZVN.
During both procedures, Salata was reportedly the only person in the room, the station reported.
He was reportedly arrested Monday night – the same day the other woman came forward – and was being held under $200,000 bond.
