Rapper Half Ounce killed in Los Angeles shooting


A Southern California rapper was fatally shot in Koreatown early Tuesday, police said.

Half Ounce, also known as Lataurisha O’Brien, was found in front of an apartment building suffering multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

Officers received calls that about 30 rounds of shots were fired near the 700 block of South New Hampshire Avenue.

Paramedics declared the 33-year-old brought dead on the spot.

Police investigated the crime scene for six hours and gathered information about the alleged shooter, a man in dark clothing, who drove south in a dark colored SUV.

Family members told NBC4That the rapper was the father of three children and had a fourth child the following year.
