DIY TikTok star’s home is ‘unlivable’ after Ian


A woman who went viral for renovating her Florida waterfront home alone while her military husband was away is now picking up the pieces after Hurricane Ian His dream home was destroyed.

“I’m thinking it’s probably a good three feet across the house,” Corey Bosco said of the water level in her Daytona Beach home, picking up the U-hall Friday to save her belongings.

“So we’re trying to get everything out there,” the mother of four told The Post. “The smell of mold is terrible already. It’s like black, I don’t even want to know what it is, covers the whole floor.”

Her family evacuated the farm house on the Halifax River Wednesday night. On Thursday afternoon a friend went to assess the damage.

“He opened the front door and he just came out,” Bosco, 38, said. “They said it was knee-high in the living room.”

A neighbor was sending him updates on the storm. “They said that at one point they saw 6- to 10-foot waves over my boat dock,” she said. “And he said it was going even up to the roof of my house.”

The Florida native decides to surprise her husband, Vinny, a special agent in the Army Reserve’s Criminal Investigation Division, who was stationed in Washington, D.C., by renovating his entire home all by himself.

For her husband’s return on Valentine’s Day, Bosco completed a $100,000 renovation in February.

“Thank God I evacuated and didn’t stay there alone, because there was nothing I could do,” she said.

She is trying to stay positive.

“Our family is safe and well, so I think we’ll build back bigger and better,” she said.
