Counting of votes has started from today Haryana Municipal Corporation Election Result 2022, On June 19, elections were held for the posts of president and councilor in 18 municipal councils and 28 municipalities. Despite minor glitches and malfunctions in the EVMs, the voter turnout was around 70%.

The highest voter participation rate of 84.6% was achieved in the Bawal Municipal Committee of Rewari. Comparatively, the percentage of Municipal Councils of Bhiwani and Jhajjar was slightly lower at 63.60 and 61.60 respectively.

The primary race was between the state’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) alliance and the Congress, while the Aam Aadmi Party is testing the waters ahead of the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections.

According to state election commissioner Dhanpat Singh, 185 people are in the fray for the post of president in 456 wards of 18 municipal councils. Elections for Faridabad Municipal Corporation and three other municipalities have been postponed as the Election Commission is revising the list of eligible voters.
