Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University ,AKTU), in the past (u p tu), is a public collegiate university in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It was established on 8 May 2000 as Uttar Pradesh Technical University through the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It is an affiliating university, with about 800 colleges affiliated. The university was earlier in the IET Lucknow campus. Now it is in its newly inaugurated campus at Jankipuram, Lucknow.
