Uttarakhand Bageshwer Teenager Died Due To Drowning While Taking Bath In Saryu River Ann


Bageshwar News: A teenager died while bathing in a river in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand, though two of his accomplices swam out. This incident happened while bathing in Saryu river near Jhatkwali under Kotwali police area. After the information of the incident, the rescue team including the CO reached the spot. An hour-long rescue operation was carried out, after which the body was pulled out from the deep pond. After this incident, there has been an uproar in Gwad village. People are horrified by the continuous incident.

Teenager dies while taking bath in river

According to information received from the Kotwali police, three teenagers of Gwad village had gone to bathe in Saryu near Jhatkwali bridge on Thursday afternoon. During this 15-year-old Saurabh Suneri son Arjun Singh started drowning in the deep pond. His companions who went along tried to save him but they could not save him. After which the villagers immediately informed the police and fire department and SDRF. After the information, CO Ankit Kandari reached the spot with the team and SDRF launched a rescue operation in the river. Saurabh’s body was recovered an hour later from the deep pond. This rescue operation was carried out by the SDRF team’s Rajendra Mehra, Rajendra Rawat, Khelash Ram, Balam Singh and Amit Tamta etc. Police have taken the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem.

There was chaos in the village after the incident

After this incident, there is chaos in the village. The whole district is shocked by the incident happening while bathing in the river continuously. Near Jhatquali, where the incident took place on Thursday, the incident has happened here in the past as well. Two years ago, another teenager died while swimming here. Even then three teenagers of the village had gone here to take a bath.
