New Delhi: Indian captain Rohit Sharma has thanked all the people who have helped him become a player. At the same time, he also remembered the day when he made his debut in international cricket 15 years ago. Sharma, who made his One Day International debut against Ireland in Belfast on 23 June 2007, remembered that day with a message.

Rohit Sharma tweeted with the India jersey, writing, ’15 years of my favorite jersey. The accompanying statement said that it has been a journey that he will cherish for the rest of his life. Today I complete 15 years of international cricket since making my debut for India. It has been a memorable journey for me, which I will definitely cherish for the rest of my life.

The 35-year-old Sharma has scored 9283 runs in 223 innings of 230 matches, including 29 hundreds including two double centuries at an average of 48.60. In 125 T20 matches, Sharma has scored 3313 runs with a high of 118, including four centuries and 26 half-centuries. In Tests, the Mumbai Indians captain has scored 3137 runs in 77 innings of 45 matches. He has scored eight runs and 14 half-centuries at an average of 46.13. He will lead India in a four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire on Thursday.
