Lahore. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Rameez Raja has said indirectly that he wants to continue at the top post. However, there has been speculation for a long time that there is a possibility that the government may sack him. According to speculations, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will soon replace Rameez with a person of his choice on the PCB chairman.
Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif recently had a meeting with three former chairman of the board on cricket matters, which further fueled speculation that Rameez would be removed from his post.

Rameez, 59, has now said that two months have passed, so one cannot just dwell on speculation. He said, ‘It has been 2 months now and we cannot live on speculation. If anything had to happen, it would have happened by now. Nothing is going to improve in Pakistan cricket unless you let someone work continuously.
The former batsman, who played 57 Tests and 198 ODIs in his career, said, ‘There is no ego issue here, we want to improve Pakistan cricket. If the constitution allows to make changes that is fine but because of tradition you should not destroy good work.
