New Delhi: The sixth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League has started. The opening match between defending champions Chennai Super Gillies (CSG) and Nellai Royal Kings (NRK) was played on Thursday. The result of the match came in the Super Over, where Royal Kings won. With one ball remaining, he chased the target of 10 runs. Not only is the Superover the talking point of this match, but there was a lot of drama in the past as well.

During the second innings of the match, there was a ruckus when two players clashed with each other. Chennai wicketkeeper and senior batsman Narayan Jagadeesan was mankad by Baba Aparajith. Opener Jagdishan (25 runs in 15 balls), batting well, could not digest getting out like this and returning to the pavilion, showed the middle finger to Royal Kings player Aparajith.

Jagadeesan has represented Tamil Nadu in 26 first-class, 36 List A and 45 T20 matches, and it is likely that action will be taken against him. Jagadeesan is also a part of the Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings since 2018 and has also played two matches of the recently concluded 15th season in the yellow jersey. Earlier, NRK openers Laxmena Suryaprakash (62) and Sanjay Yadav (87 *) took their team’s score to 184/4.
