Maharashtra Political Crisis: In the midst of the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra, the circumstances are not completely clear yet. However, along with the MLAs, now MPs are also seen coming in support of Eknath Shinde. According to sources, 17 MPs are in touch with Eknath Shinde. Police station MP Rajan Vichare and Kalyan MP Shrikant Shinde are present in Guwahati. Wasim MP Bhavna Gawli, Palghar MP Rajendra Gavit, Ramtek MP Krupal you have also shown your support. So far, a total of 48 MLAs are being claimed to have reached Eknath Shinde’s camp on behalf of their supporters, out of which 7 are being told that they have arrived this morning. With Shinde, the hotel now has a total of 45 MLAs, including 41 of Shiv Sena and 4 independents.
Yesterday 3 more MLAs left for Assam
It is reported that 3 more MLAs have joined the Shinde camp last night. The three MLAs who left for Guwahati yesterday to join the Shinde camp include Shiv Sena MLA Sada Sarvankar of Mahim assembly, Mangesh Kundalkar and Vengurlekar, MLAs from Kurla.
Will Shinde be able to escape the defection law?
Different numbers are coming out about how many MLAs are with Shinde and how many MLAs are in support of Uddhav Thackeray. It is not yet completely clear how many MLAs are standing with whom. Shinde supporters say that he has got more than 37 MLAs of Shiv Sena. While Shiv Sena claims that Shiv Sena has 20 MLAs. According to Shiv Sena, so far only 33 MLAs of Sena have reached Shinde faction. If so, then the defection law will be applied to the MLAs of Shinde Gud and their legislature will go away, but if the Shinde faction managed to break at least thirty four i.e. 2/3 MLAs from the party, then according to the rule, it will be subject to defection. The law will not apply.
Clear from signs that Uddhav’s chair is set to go
On the one hand, speculations are being made that 34 MLAs have not yet joined Shinde’s camp, which is why Shinde is not coming forward to contest openly. On the other hand, the way Uddhav Thackeray interacted with the public through Facebook yesterday, after leaving his official residence, apart from removing his son Aditya Thackeray from his Twitter handle as minister in front of his name, all these things proved the same. It seems that Uddhav Thackeray is now convinced that the circumstances have turned completely opposite to him and now his chair is set to go. Although all these are speculations, what is the reality, it will all become clear very soon.
