Afghan officials said the death toll in the deadly Afghanistan earthquake has risen to 1,000 and hundreds are feared injured. The Taliban have appealed to the world community to help the earthquake victims as Afghanistan grapples with an economic crisis due to sanctions. Expressing grief over the loss of lives and devastation caused by the earthquake in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is ready to provide all possible disaster relief material at the earliest.
