On Sunday, it was another trying day for Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers offense struggled to go against the Steelers in Pittsburgh, generating a total of a little over 300 yards during the competition. Despite the team’s ability to move the ball when required, all three scoring drives of Tampa Bay’s first half ended in field goals.
Brady was seen on the sidelines, completely troubling his linesman as the closing seconds of the first half approached.
Brady’s resentment has boiled over the edge several times this season.
The quarterback was also on edge in Week 2 and angrily broke a tablet.
After the incident, Brady mentioned on his podcast, “Let’s go!” that “maintaining your sobriety is of the utmost importance.” “I didn’t do a great job of it yesterday, and I need to be extremely careful to keep my emotions under control so that I can play to my full potential.
There’s a limit to how emotional you can be, and yesterday, I believe I definitely was at the time. I need to find a better place so that I can be there for my colleagues.”
Brady still has to improve in that area, as seen by his latest emotional outburst on Sunday.
With 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Steelers—who alternated between using Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett as quarterbacks against the Buccaneers—scored a touchdown to go 20-12.
The Buccaneers went on to lose the game 20–18, despite returning to Tampa Bay and scoring a touchdown later in the quarter, which failed to convert a two-point attempt, leveling the score.
Next week, when the Buccaneers meet the Panthers 1-5 in Charlotte, North Carolina, they’ll have an opportunity to turn things around.
