Hayden Panettiere explained in Wednesday’s episode of “Red Table Talk” why it’s “terrible” to discuss her issues with her ex-boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko in the media.
Since 2018, Klitschko lives with her 7-year-old daughter Kaya Klitschko in Europe, where she has sole custody.
At about the 24-minute point after the broadcast, Panettiere told hosts Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne Banfield Norris and her guest co-host Kelly Osbourne that she was concerned about “harassing” Klitschko at first, which deepened her custody. The fight was discussed. first time.
“It’s just scary. You should avoid offending anyone, especially the person in charge of your child,” she continued.
Earlier in the chat, discussing Klitschko and his brother Vitaly, he referred to them as “icons” in his native Ukraine. Vladimir is a former professional boxer from Ukraine, while Vitaly is the current mayor of Kyiv.
When Panettiere battled alcoholism and depression in 2018 (as she previously revealed in a July interview People), she eventually signed off on “full custody” of Kaya Klitschko, but she added on “Red Table Talk” that it was “not entirely my decision.”
She said that she had sent Kaya to Ukraine for a regular visit and that she would use the opportunity to be “nice”.
“When I recovered, things could have changed, and she could come visit me, and I could spend time with her,” she said. Instead, Klitschko informs her that he wants custody of Kaya while she was in Ukraine. Panettiere expressed surprise at the request.

The “Heroes” actress described Ukraine as “male-dominated” and said that because of the country’s rules, she “cannot do anything” to oppose Klitschko’s court request for full custody. She described the signing of the documents to finalize the agreement as “the most disastrous thing ever”.
Panettiere stated throughout the interview that Klitschko was a good parent, but expressed concern that he was unaware of Kaya’s emotional needs as she matured and felt that she had little time with her mother.
“I also remember her father contacting me and telling me that Kaya was asking other women if she could call them Mama,” she said. “And both my breath and my heart stopped. And he was laughing, because he found it amusing.”
Panettiere said he found this knowledge “terrible.” She continued, “It’s a trauma response, it’s a scream for help.”

He told Kaya that when she was told about it, the little girl started backing down and started speaking nonsense.
The ‘Nashville’ star claims he never put Kaya at risk. “They will never take any child from me in this country. would never have happened. I believe that was the reason she was wanted there” she said,
Panettiere said she saw no “signs” that she would be able to bring her daughter to the United States in the near future, but she “hopes” that the situation will change in the future.
A Klitschko spokesman did not immediately respond to an insider’s request for comment.
