The husband of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed for divorce from the conservative firebrand, he confirmed Wednesday.
“Marriage is a wonderful thing and I am a firm believer in it,” Green told The Post in a statement. “Our society is built by a husband and wife to create and raise a family. Together, Perry and I created our own family and raised three great children. She gave me the title of the best job you could ever earn: Mom.”
“I will always be grateful for what a great father he is to our children,” she added.

The two were married in August 1995, while Green was still a student at the University of Georgia. They have three adult children together.
According to court documents, Perry Green said the couple had parted ways before. The filing states that it wants to divide its assets and debts equally.
Perry Green said his wife has been his “best friend” for the past 29 years, calling her “an amazing mother.”
“Our family is the most important thing we’ve done,” he said in a statement. “As we go our separate ways, we will continue to focus on our 3 incredible children and their future endeavors and our friendship.”
