Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was heard this week telling fellow lawmakers that the House President Nancy Pelosi Democrats are likely to lose the House in November’s midterm elections, according to a new report.
Schumer, 71, entered Trattoria Alberto, an Italian restaurant on Capitol Hill, on Monday night during a private dinner with six other Democratic senators. Panchbol news reported,
The Brooklyn Democrat is said to have told his aides that if the election were to take place now, “we have a 60% chance of having it in the Senate and a 40% chance of having us in the House.”
Other senators who dined with Schumer included Chris Koons (D-Del.), Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Tom Carper (D-Del.), John Hickenlooper (D-Del.). -colo). .), and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.)
Multiple sources told Punchbowl News that Schumer was speaking out loud and that other diners listened to his conversation.
Schumer reportedly put forward on a range of other topics, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) “sucking” former President Donald Trump, who Schumer thinks will reunite in 2024. Will run for president.

Reps from Pelosi and Schumer did not immediately respond to The Post.
The news came after dinner revealed that Schumer was transferring $15 million from his own campaign account to help his fellow Democrats race across the country for the Senate ahead of the November 8 election.
A source told the Associated Press that Schumer was giving $5 million to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and distributing the remaining $10 million among nine candidates — four incumbent Democratic senators and five Democratic challengers on the battlefield.
Schumer is expected to return as majority leader if Democrats retain the Senate this fall.
