A 25-year-old woman was tragically shot on the side of a road in New York City’s East Village on Thursday morning, close to busy Union Square and NYU dormitories, officials said.
Before 5 a.m., police answered a 911 call and found the victim with a gunshot wound to her scalp.
After reaching the spot, the EMS personnel declared the woman brought dead.
On Thursday morning, as NYPD investigators chatted with each other at the site, a white sheet covered her body and was covered with blood.
The woman was murdered near the intersection of East 14th Street and Irving Place. According to officials; His identity was withheld while awaiting information from his relatives.
