India and Nepal In Ramayana Circuit connecting places connected First Bharat Pride Tourist Train To New Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station was flagged off. Bharat Gaurav train carrying 500 tourists from India will reach Janakpur Dham railway station in Nepal.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) The 18-day Shri Ramayana Yatra special tourist train will take the pilgrims to the holy places associated with the life of Lord Rama. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav along with Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy flagged off the train.
Features of Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train:
- The train consisting of 11 third AC class coaches has a seating capacity of about 600 passengers. The total cost of the first trip on the Ramayana circuit for 18 days is around Rs 62,370 per person and is all inclusive.
- Each coach of the train has been designed as a kaleidoscope of ‘Pride of India’, highlighting various aspects of India like monuments, cuisine, dress, festivals, flora and fauna, folk art etc.
- The Ramayana Circuit is one of the 15 thematic circuits identified for development under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Ministry of Tourism, India.
- The train has 14 coaches and the exteriors of some coaches promote various classical and folk dance forms, costumes, popular festivals, cuisines of the country.
